trial pat
Hi, My friend Walter bought a Tiger Cub 200 with the old (original) carb, which does not seem to run well. He would like to mount a new but Pre65 (Scottish) eligible carb, maybe an Amal 622. What do you recommend? Where can I order one already jetted for a 200cc Cub? Plus manifold. What about the heat protection, distance to the cylinder? Otherwise, what about a new Oko 22 flatsilde for clubtrials? Which jetting there? Thanks for some hints. old trials fanatic
Dont know about the OKO apart from definately NOT Scottish legal. If you are determined to stay Scottish legal the latest carb you can use would be an Amal Mk 1 concentric. Mk 1 1/2 not eligable officially. Dont quite see why the Mk 1 is either but whatever. Best carb seems to be the Dellorto from what local riders tell me but they ahve to change to the Amal for Scotland.
brucey
Pat, Are you riding the pre 65 Scottish? If not, phone Bob at UPB and fit one of his Dellorto Kits. I have one fitted to my Cub and after a few initial problems have decided it's the best £160 I have spent. I ride at Club level and it has transformed my bike. Bruce. jon v8
I would have to agree with the Dellorto, most of the Cubs around the South West that run well have them.My club will accept a Cub in any form if you are brave enough to keep one running....
