sykes
hi what oil would be fine for a scorpa 175f? i see they recommend motul 300v fully synthetic, but i cannot get this locally. i take it something like shell advance ultra be fine for this engine as it does not work hard anyway, and i can get it locally....better price too. i want to use good oil, but are some of the recommendations overkill? given it not a race bike.... cheers
bashplate
Hi Sykes, try and get a motorcycle synthetic oil, as the car ones have slightly different friction modifiers which can make the clutch slip. Fuchs(silkoline), castrol, putoline and others all do motorcycle only synthetics.

dadof2
What grade of 300V do they recommend? 300V is expensive high temperature racing oil. Quite a few 4 stroke motocrossers reckon its the bees knees, but that type of use is nowhere near the same as trials.
chuckindenver
dont mix your MX oils and trials oils.. iv been using motorex in my new 4T..very happy with it..on the 3 oil change,. my dealer was out of Elf..so i tried the motorex... pricey..but good stuff.
