nubee1974
Back is off, Down is on, Forward is reserve. I always leave whatever fuel is left in the tank without any issues.

jeffm
Congrats on the new bike. Its OK to leave fuel in tank for a couple of weeks. But if its going to be much longer than that I usually drain fuel from tank and carb. Been riding offroad for many years but I just bought my first trials bike. 06' Sherco 290 Wish I had done it sooner. Cheers...
ham2
This is like Gremlins..never feed it after midnight and...Always shut the fuel off when it's dormant and never remove the tank (for any extended length of time ) unless it's empty. You may find that a filled tank swells (due to new fuel additives) when out of the frame and it won't go back until it's been dried out for a while
tony27
What Ham is alluding to is don't leave fuel in the tank if it has any alcohol content, I've just replaced my tank after it grew enough to no longer fit the frame, am running unblended avgas at the moment to get around having the same problem but at $3.50 a litre I may end up blending shortly
t-shock 250
I have just switched to that top of the range shell stuff & my '05 tank has swelled so it doesn't fit anymore. Thanks shell.
