He hesitant to put a stock replacement on incase it happens again.......so is there something better, an earlier or later model disk that's got better, stronger fixings. Cheers, Ian. charliechitlins Posted May 8, 2005 Report Share Posted May 8, 2005 Sounds more like a symptom than a problem. I've never heard of anything like this. Definitely check if anything looks suspect in the assembly department. Or maybe the disk was cracked from an impact. Check the disks for signs of impact and check the crack for rust, which would tell you that it's been cracked for a while. There is no reason, though, to avoid the OEM replacement.
