Beta Throttle

I bought a beta 200 , just need some advice, I've got a lot of play on my throttle. I've tightened it as much as I can from the throttle cable to the carb end, because there is no ajustment on the handlebar end, I've been told that it could be my throttle cabled that's stretched, is this most likely to be the problem, thank you

There is two adjustment point

1 the elbow that screws into the carb

2 where the cable enters the elbow at the top

mine is fitted with a slow action Domino throttle it replaced the Beta one

The problem could still be the cable stretched

yeh i think by the sounds of it my throttle cable has stretched then, yes i also have a domino throttle but its the white sleeve which i believe is the quick action throttle, i am a complete novice at all of this, i only bought the bike a month ago so trying to get to grips with everything at the moment thank you for the help

I had this when I fitted a new cable which was obviously badly made and i could not get all the slack out of it. I just rummaged in my tin of bits and used a split ferrule off an old throttle assemble to take up the slack.

If you've only been riding a month I would ditch the QA throttle - why anyone would have fitted that to a 200 is a mystery - it must spoil an otherwise excellent beginner's (or anyone else for that matter) bike.
