stephen1967
Hi, I am looking for a bit more power from my evo 250..I was wondering if it is worthwhile fitting an S3 front pipe, What are peoples experiences of them ? do they save much weight ? and do they have a good sound .to them ?. .Many thanks. fatbastard
My young lad has the whole Bossi exhaust and said that made quite a bit of difference more low down torque. Sure even the front pipe must contribute to that.
eddie_lejeune
i have an s3 pipe on mine, it makes it a bit sharper but the weight saving for a normal rider is negligible, there is a bit but as if we'd notice
fatbastard
You can sharpen the bike up by removing two base gaskets and the flywheel weight .
0007
I had one on my 270 and noticed a difference in low end response, fit was good and it added a cool sounding snap but it was not louder
laser1
Might try some of the new Boyesen reeds as well.
stephen1967
. Might try some of the new Boyesen reeds as well. That was going to be my next question. What do people think of them ? do they make a difference ? which type should I go for ? and finally , are they easy to fix ?.

lee_28
Fitted a s3 from pipe to my 300 and it sounds amazing! So crisp and poppy! And does make a difference to bottom end!
steve_earle
The weight difference is massive compared to the standard. If the pipe is shorter of a conical design like the Thor one it will make a very slight difference to the bottom end. The main reason to get one is they look and sound cool, Dont rust and will make you happier just looking at it. I love them for that very reason. For tuning see my post in Boysen reeds.
