footpegleg Posted November 16, 2012 Report Share Posted November 16, 2012 Hi all, can someone point me in the right direction, My sherco 2008 250 had recent dirty fuel, so after removing the fuel tank to clean it through I noticed that after connecting fuel pipe back on and tank sat in place the fuel pipe was resting up against the exhaust?? This is hot after running, worrys me a bit, never ever noticed it like this before, it seems that it can only bend into place up against the exhaust to allow the fuel tank to rest in place?? is this normal?? will the pipe not melt under the heat from the exhaust??? please someone assure me Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

copemech Posted November 17, 2012 Report Share Posted November 17, 2012 The pipe needs to route down out of the petcock then bend to the left over the carb inlet towards the clutch pressure line then make a smooth u-turn back over the carb inlet to the carb. This routing maintains it off the muff, unless you just cram things in. Only requires about six inches of tube! I had a pic but I cannot find it!
