rtm
Has anyone tried a reed valve conversion on a 200?
axulsuv
Chris at Classic trials was playing with the idea on a 240 ... I don't know the final results .
htrdoug
My 240 with a Oko runs smoother than my 309,as smooth as my Sherco...and almost too snappy! I had to sell my TY350 since it was so flat accelerating it completely fouled up my timing when I got back on any other bike. Don't know about 200's yet but you can have a smooth running piston port engine, I've had a couple of Suzuki T500 street bikes that also run very well down low, plus piston ports don't wear out! axulsuv
I'd have to agree with Doug , I've shocked more than one modern rider by letting them ride my OKO'd 240 (that is also geared 10/44 for no-stop riding), They'll haul in the clutch in 2nd , rev the engine , drop the clutch in prep to attack something ... And just about LOOP my old bike ... mine will pull off idle , without a fuss in any sectionable gear , without slipping the clutch ...
