frogger
Since its been raining we have been running low pressures in my boy's Oset 20 to try and get better grip. Problem is from time to time he manages to rip the valve out with the tyre spinning on the rim. Anyone have any solutions for running low pressures and stopping the tyre spinning? Would also be good to know if anyone can recommend a thicker inner tube to prevent pinch flats. Any ideas?

A couple of dabs of silicon rubber on the bead of the tyre ( between the bead and rim ) may help , dont put it all around the bead as it may be to difficult to get the tyre off again. p@ul250
Try http://www.tartybikes.co.uk they do a Kenda 19" DH Super Heavy Duty inner tube for £6.38. My boy uses them in the rear of his Onza and hasn't had a flat since he switched.

flypigs
I would recommend that you find a rim lock from a ktm 65 or similar. It would be easy enough to drill a hole through the rim and install the rim lock, and then you could run any pressure w/ no worries of spinning the valve stem off. You should be able to find one on ebay for a couple of quid. Pete
frogger
Brilliant idea, never even occurred to me and I have a 65SX sitting right next to the Oset!
