mcman56
Would an unmarked cylinder on a 2002 Pro 200 suggest something different in the engine? The cylinder does not have the Gas Gas name cast into it on either side. It is also lacking the round symbol with the number inside that I believe is some kind of casting mark. The outside finish looks a little more like paint that is wearing off than what ever is standard.
shercoben12
It's probably an aftermarket kit fitted by the previous owner.
laser1
Probably the old 160 jug.
mcman56
Can you tell by looking? See below. Was the 160 unmarked and would it fit a pro? I have heard of S3 cylinders but assumed they would have some marking. Edited January 7, 2013 by mcman56
laser1
I went and looked at some online photos (google search) of the 02 pro 200's and that looks stock to me. I couldnt see any markings on the ones I found - although none had great pics to inspect. Thinking about it, i doubt the old 160 jug would fit the Pro cases. I "think" they bumped the motor to a 178 (or something close to that) with the pro - but maybe that was later.
shercoben12
Now seeing the photo that's definitely a Gas Gas cylinder:) I agree with laser about the 160 jug as the cases DID change.
