starr870
I know this is not strictly gear but i could not find a forum for stands! I,m looking to buy a workshop type stand a was wondering what everyone else uses or recomends, i have been looking at the Apico fixed stands and the o nes with a handle to lift the bike up higher to work on. How do you get the bike on the Apico ones as they look very high? Many thanks Andy.

gasthatchgas
Can just lift the bike on the apico stand. Iv never been a fan of those so called "jack in the box" stands with the handle. They only raise the bike to the same height as the apico but with out the lifting. Personally the best
mattylad
Have to agree the waist height lift shown above is the best thing since sliced bread!!!
johnnyboxer
Waist high scissor lifts are well worth it
t-shock 250
As above, those scissor stands are brilliant, but you still need a lightweight low stand for washing the bike and taking to trials if you need to fix a puncture etc.
gasthatchgas
Plus the bike looks soooooo much cooler up in the air on show when all your mates come round

b40rt
That's well past it's maximum height, hate if your bike got damaged.
jfc
Only for the photo, but still very solid on the stand.
