martin 305
Hi there was thinking of fitting the s3. 280 kit does it fit easily , crankcase mods or no? Does it give you more bottom end grunt ? I already have a futt titanium system (mitani) and do you need to mod anything else if you fit this kit ? Many thanks for all your help Martin
jj65
No mods to cases as far as I know, but I'd advise dual map TB. More torque and power everywhere.
jimmyl
Put mine back to standard after buying it with the 280 kit on hated it compared to std 250. Found was always trying to keep up with the bike. Maybe a soft map would of helped but like the rideability of the 250. Just put original piston and barrel back on. laser1
Trials and Enduro news had an excellent review of the S3 kit in the Dec 2012 issue. 272 kits = no case boring The reviewer (Matt Liberatore) stated that S3 recommends the programmable throttle body as well as the larger header pipe (28mm) for full effect. He goes into detail about the different maps available - from mild to wild. Stated the maps were really the key to sorting the bike to your preference. warby beta
I picked my 280'd 4rt up yesterday, rode it today and wow what a thing. Loads of grunt but not snappy. Mine has the s3 titanium front pipe and ptb, not sure what kit was used as pidcocks did it for me.
