Cota 348 Kill Switch. Mikuni Carb Fitted

I want to fit a kill switch to my 348. The only wire being used is the black wire from stator to the coil(low tention circuit). Any suggestions on how to set it the kill switch up?

One more question I have a mikuni carb fitted but on the air filter side rubber there is a gap, is there an adaptor which fits to the carb and fills the gap to the air filter rubber?

You will have the best results with a two wire kill switch. Splice one wire from the kill switch into the black coil wire and run the other kill switch wire to ground.

Not sure about your Mikuni question. I have a Mikuni VM26 on my 348 and I just removed the Amal and installed the Mikuni. It fit without the need for any additional adapters.

Cannot find what mikuni model carb it is. where will it be on carb?

Will try what you said on kill switch. Do I splice it below the spade that fits on the coil or can I piggyback it off the original spade or has it gotta be before it?

Location of the splice is not that important, as you are just creating a path to ground. I cut the existing coil spade off and then crimped both the black coil wire and the kill switch wire into a new spade that attaches to the coil.

Piggybacked spade and added an extra wire to the coil and the earth of the switch to the frame and works a treat, Thanks guys.

On the other issue with the Mikuni carb I fitted the carb spacer off my TXT PRO and it fits pretty good. I found another alternative Cambstrials centre do a machined aliminium spacer for the TXT PRO for the Delorto carb for £20 so I ordered one of them the are suppose to be longer so I can try that, If no good I will use it on my TXT PRO.
