wallo
"I heard a rumour, it was just a rumour..." great song btw. Siouxsie & the Banshees... Sorry back to topic. Does anyone have any news regards tubed tyres, are they being phased out? I understand stocks of tubed IRC's are far and few between. Would be interested to understrand the options, tube in non-tube tyre, tubeless??
old trials fanatic
A lot depends on the rims you have. Some rims designed for tubed tyres dont take kindly to tubeless tyres when run at low pressure. I am reliably informed that IRC tyres will be docking early March and should be available for mid to late March. What happened was the importer sold out and the reorder took longer than expected to be despatched so we are all in the same boat being out of stock losing sales with tyres on back order. Do i find it annoying yeah just a bit !!! but nothing can be done. If you can wait till March then supplies should be back to normal at your local dealer. Hope that helps ? wallo
Thanks, makes sense. Can you use a tubless tyre with a tube?
old trials fanatic
You can use a tubeless with a tube but as i said some makes of rim will not take a tubeless tyre at low pressure and the tyre will just roll off the rim. bashplate
Any idea which rims OTF ?. Is it as simple as spanish bikes ok, but japers not? or is it waaaaay more complicated than that? Cheers.
old trials fanatic
Akront as fitted to most european bikes seem ok but DID and other Japanese rims are suspect.
