bashplate
Hi folks, just wondering if there is such a thing as a alloy kickstarter to fit the honda 200 engines, be nice if it missed the footpeg too.
bashplate
Ok, I guess it was a big ask and I didn't think anything would be suitable. So.....took the xr200 kicker I've been using( which needed the footrest hooking up out of the way), and gave it the heat treatment, results are in the pictures. also made some alloy snail cams for chain adjustment...turned out well. . tlrmark
Nice job on that kicker. I assume that is on the XL200 special from the photo. What type of heat is required to reform metal of that thickness and what other techniques did you use to bend it. I have 3 spare xr200 arms and am always installing 200 engines in non stock frames modern and classic.

If I could find one I'd also fit a steel lever to my Beta.
bashplate
Hi Mark, I used a piece of 4" pipe to do the big curve, and then a piece of 2" to bring the top end back up at the 45 degree angle. Heat was supplied by the oxy acetylene plant at work.....just heat it enough to bend it, should go easy enough between cherry red and orange ( more toward the orange).....if you get it yellow/ white you gone too far .
