carlsmith
Hi chaps, I'm after starting trials after years of road bikes and green laning. There is a gas gas jtx270 on eBay that has had a 330 engine fitted. I know engines and service all my own vehicles but I wondered if this would be a good starter or is it too much for a first bike. All opinions welcome. Thanks in advance Carl
theluckyone
First of all welcome. Without knowing how old it is or how much its probably wrong to say I don't think it is a good starter bike. I would be looking at a 315 Montesa if I was starting out to own my first trials bike. Why? Because parts are available, they are reliable and still reasonably competitive, and if you want to get rid they're easy to move on . Also I think for my first bike I might not buy of ebay but scoot round as many dealers as I can to see what old stock they're keen to do a deal on. But whatever you do enjoy it, its the most fun you can have with your pants on.
zippy
But whatever you do enjoy it, its the most fun you can have with your pants on. I am supposed to wear pants when riding?. That explains why all those people kept pointing and laughing........
