What Terrain Is Local To You?

Hi,

Myself and a couple of riding mates are looking to do a trial or two away from our local area for a change of scenery. We are based in Hampshire so experience plenty of mud, tree roots, logs etc but fancy riding something a little different. We don't mind travelling and staying overnight for the "right" venue. Our riding level is clubman C route so we are not looking for anything too severe but quite fancy some stream / river riding or mild rocks, the kinda things we don't get down south...

Open to all suggestions with the criteria that the venue must be in England or Wales. Please list venue and club that runs the trial and any pictures would be a bonus!

Cheers,

Gary.

If you don't mind travelling and staying overnight you should consider Scotland.as well

Some brilliant two day events, and you know you've been in a trial when you've ridden a couple of 20 mile laps, offroad, each day.

Hospitality is excellent too, you'd be made very welcome

Richmond run the blue bar trial 2 days in may, not sure if you are eligible. Check their website.

Bedlington motor club have the Alwinton 2 day in june. They have a facebook page with pics of the terrain. You could also ask baldilocks on here about it.

Middlesbrough motor club have a 2 day in September, covers just about every terrain.

All three should be good for you and your mate's.

Peak Classic Trials Club hold 12 events a year , one per month weather permitting, all within 15 miles radius of Matlock. Loads of local pubs with accommodation and the sort of terrain you said you were looking for streams, rocky outcrops, woods and moorland. Clubman route is dead easy and sounds right up your street. Check out www.peakclassic.co.uk

obviously there are a handful of non usual venue down souf that wouldn't require the travelling

including (but not limited to);

north berks mcc @ seymours area - Oxfordshire - lots of imported rocks and other man made sections

various @ hook woods - Surrey - lots of imported rocks and other man made sections

the trials park - lowerstoft - Suffolk - man made stuff

wickham @ cowden - Kent - natural sandstone
