kmac Posted April 10, 2013 Report Share Posted April 10, 2013 Interesting reading this topic! I was a kid at school when the milk was stopped and have no recollection of it at all. Which must mean that I wasn't deeply scarred by it like Toofasttim!! When she was replaced as PM I was in about 15 or 16 (It's not her fault that I can't do simple maths by the way) and she was the only Prime Minister I could remember, which made her being replaced quite momentous. I don't really follow politics much but I can say that she was the last Strong leader of this country with everybody since being spineless and too eager to please all sides. We had to carry our lunch money, Seems I recall it was $ .25 or so, then went up from there over time. If they gave kids milk nowadays someone would sue for forcing it on the lactose intolerant!
