hoggyf
Just changed my fork seals for the first time (wasn't as bad as I thought it might be !) and need to refill with oil and I know that you compress the forks with the spring removed on one side but on the other do you fully remove the damper rod assembly or just push it to one side when measuring the air gap?? chuckindenver
350cc in the spring side, 370cc in the other...much easier. Edited April 12, 2013 by chuckindenver
hoggyf
370 in the right was far too much if I dropped the damper rod down and compressed the fork so did it at 60mm air gap. How do you tighten the drain bolt in the spring side leg? Mine just spins??

644thumper
.How do you tighten the drain bolt in the spring side leg? Mine just spins?? Impact driver, the electric ones work well, did mine yesterday, put the 10mm hex drive in and pressed the switch, they flew out and did back up a treat, no leaks Either pull the fork leg to full extension or put a piece of wood (broom handle) inside and compress fork leg whilst holding wood against top end of damper (easier with wood in vice and pull down on fork leg) otherwise the damper just spins inside the fork leg
