lee99780
I had mine off last week. Check that your basket has slid onto both bearings, there are 2 of the little needle roller bearings that the basket sits on. Mine was a bit of a dog to slide onto the inner one. houseape1000
take cover back off, loosen centre bolt, rotate clutch until it drops into socket and re-tighten centre bolt.

sjw
Well basically even though I was only replacing the gasket because of a small leak when I put it back together the clutch basket was grinding the clutch case it had moved out buy approximately 3-4 mm I can only images the center nut had worked loose and using he kickstaet to line up the water pump made the basket move so I followed he advice on here and all is well I also had a small leak on he waterpump brass bush / drain the washer was squashed ,so made one out of a milk carton will order a real one on Monday but does he job ! lee99780
I don't have the centre bolt on mine, some people don't put them back in. Good knows why but it seems fine without
