mozchops
hi people just finished putting in a new clutch pack on my 02 280 pro and when i came to start it there is no engagement of the gears on the kickstart side of things (other words it won't turn over), so took it all apart again and can't see anything a miss. Has anyone any ideas as what could be happening? anyone help or advice would be a great help Thanks in advance mozchops! windlestone
make sure the bolt in the centre of the clutch basket is tight. Edited May 26, 2005 by windlestone
spinner
Make sure that the looped wire on the kickstarter shaft is pointed at the one oclock position or a the bolt hole for the cover screw. This spring makes the gear pull up when you kick it over. I moved the one on my bike once and it would not kick over! jenkinsm
Its right in front of you!! Its just above where the clutch cable goes into the casing i.e the nipple. It takes a 5mm (i think) allen. It looks alot like the drain plug which you will have taken out the bottom.
