charliechitlins
I have a pretty nice fiberglass tank that has original paint and matches the...um...patina, shall we say, of the rest of the bike. What I've got is a very minor looking ding on top of the tank, but it weeps fuel. Anybody got any tips for this kind of repair?
brucej
Have you considered using Seal-All on it? It dries fairly clear, with just a faint yellow tinge, so maybe wouldn't be too noticeable. I have used it to seal leaks on metal tanks, it works quite well there. Might be some question on how the solvent in it would affect the fibreglass, but perhaps you could test it on a scrap piece first.
charliechitlins
Not sure what Seal-all is. Thanks for the advice, RS, but it sounds like it could leave a pretty big spot when I'm done. The crack is less than the width of a toothpick and less than 1/2" long.

pa.
Finally finish off the repair with some gel-coat, but remember you will need to exclude air to make sure gel-coat hardens (you can use plastic and duct tape for this). Use a Flow coat Gel coat as this will harden without the tape.
