hrc2002
My rear shock seems to have...well, not exactly packed up, but more 'made unchangable'. The purple looking screw to alter the compression has jammed up, it still has some play in it, but it will not budge either way...any ideas? The shock itself still works, but I want it hardening up, or, if possible, update the entire shock itself. I have yet to dismantle the shock as I dont have a clamp at hand, but if thats what it needs I will get hold of one. And also, if anyone has any information about obtaining shocks and their price ranges, please let me know. Thanks, Matt.
charliechitlins
Your shock is rebuildable. There could also be several hundred psi of nitrogen in it. Any work is best performed by a knownedgeable pro.
jtt
Charlie is right. Rebuilding a shock is no big deal to someone with experience and the right tools, but without that, best left to the pros. Vey easy to damage expensive bits and possibility of serious injury if done incorrectly.
