Super thread this!

I am thinking of upgrading two Oset bikes with LiPo batteries, increased volts as well as good suggestions.

Want input from you with experience on this, for the ultimate upgrade.

I have the following bikes:

Oset 16 spider 24v, 36A, 600W 20xx model
Oset 20 36v, (48v engine 1200w) 2012 model.

If I have to replace the existing controller, can I use KDS48100E, 100A, 24V-48V, on both bikes?
Are there any other batteries I should go for than x number of 5800mAh 8S 25C Lipo?

Please come with suggestions :)

Hi, sorry to resurrect this old topic.

just wanted to thank Redondo76 and all the others for the useful information.

I just installed the Kelly on my son old Oset and what a difference!

The diagrams and photos were super helpful and complete, thanks again

Did anyone change/upgrade their electric motor?

Seems like my XYD-14A 750W motor (16" 26V 2012mod)  has ended it's life... and I need to get a new one. OSET sells them but way too expensive. Anyone know how to source/where to buy?

Any compatible models I can use?

Thanks!

HI all, trying to start the Kelly controller swap.Does this controller hook into the existing power/speed/response dials? I'm imagining this is omitted, but wasn't sure.  Thanks

Hi, the dials are not used but you can adjust the power, speed and response using a computer connected to the Kelly controller.
