toxiic_pompey
Does anyone have a video on how to change the oil on a Gas Gas TXT Pro 05? I was speaking to some people and this was the first I had ever heard about having to change the oil in the bike after every other ride... I feel like an idiot now... and I have no idea how to change it as I've never decided to learn! Sorry! D:
wri5hty
Look under the sump guard and you will see a hole, through that hole is a alen bolt in the bottom of the cases. Remove this to drain oil. It will have a little magnetic tip that will collect small fragments of metal floating about, small bits are usual if it has attracted a big chunk seek advice. When all oil drained reinsert bolt. Now remove similar bolt above cases, kickstart side above water pump and insert oil. about 450ml use sight window for guide (next to kickstart). Reinsert bolt. Job done. toxiic_pompey
I have Automatic Transmission Fluid DIII from Motoquip. Will that work or should I hunt for something else?
wri5hty
Personally I don't like using ATF. I use GRO or PJ1 oil. Plenty of people use ATF I believe you just need to change it more regular. I aim for 4/5 rides before changing. But having time for maintenance is becoming a issue for me.
