bongo177
Hi all, a good friend of mine recalls when my 08 rev4t came out, and the 07 model too, some people here and there talking about modifications they had made tote standard exhaust system to help with things like the responsiveness of the throttle, the power characteristics and torque etc. he's not sure what they did now and I can't find any info. Anybody able to help with things that I could do?
nzralphy
I cut the last 25mm off the pipe and removed the final baffle plate. Mistake - made no difference to performance. Mistake - fecking noise was awfal. So I welded it back on. Happy again.
nzralphy
I raised the needle all the way up to richer the mid range an throttle pick up. Huge improvement!
nzralphy
Oh, and I opened up how the air flows under the mudguard to the air filter and removed some plastic so air moves freely. The air filter rests on the air box. Dumb really. I put some small square rubber strips in the air box to keep air flowing between the filter and air box.
