mattylad
I am going to make a RTL exhaust to save my original. Does anyone have details of the inner workings. How critical are the dimensions on a four stroke?
bashplate
I don't think the mufflers on trials bikes are toooooo critical, just look at some pictures of the wierd and wonderfull stuff that folks come up with on there trials bikes, i would say don't put too much baffling in that it would strangle it. axulsuv
I don't know the honda spec's per say , but experience in go -karts and spec miata racing might want to try a anti - reversion cone just inside the headpipe . If you can get the rest of the exhaust to flow with only a couple pounds of back pressure , a little cone inside the headpipe of a four stroke helps scavenging of the exhaust gases greatly ... It made a dramatic difference in the torque curves for both a 440 Mopar that I got into the winter nationals , a 1.6 litre miata that set a few track records , and my kids briggs and stratton powered gokart ... but watch your plugs closely , as it will lean out the engine just a tick ... Glenn , have fun if you can ... Edited July 14, 2013 by axulsuv
