waynerobshaw
Hi All, My little one has a 2012 24v 16.0 with 14ah batteries. Its in need of some new batteries, so would 15ah batteries be ok to use and would there be any benefits? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f25a43868 Cheers, Wayne. gwhy
you may get a bit more run time but really depends on the quality of the batteries, so as long as they will physically fit in place then yes they will be fine.
betarambo
If you are going to replace the batteries you might take a look at the Oset kits from EarthX. They are LifePo batteries that replace the stock SLAs. A lot of folks don't want to mess with the RC type Lipos like I use because of their complication but these ones take that complication out of the equation. They build a battery management system into each battery so that you can pretty much use them like an SLA (charge and forget). They are pretty spendy and do require a different charger for the 12" and 16" bikes, but you shave a lot of weight (25 pounds on the 20") and they charge a lot faster (around an hour I think). They go for around $300 US for 24V bikes. If you are looking for more capacity you could probably double these up ina 24V 16" bike. If not then the extra space makes a nice place to bring your lunch! http://earthxmotorsports.com/products-page/2/
