west1700
I just thought that I would share the fantastic customer service I have received from Sammy Miller. I have a 1974 TY 250 which I am doing up and it requires a new seat (the existing metal pan is 100% rust.) I ordered a new one from Sammy Miller’s which when it arrived did not fit as it is for the later models which do not have a fiberglass seat surround. However, it was not a million miles out and I was sure that if I took it to bits I could modifiy it by taking off the lip and repositioning the holes. First though thought I would talk to them to see if they had a different seat. They didn’t but sent me a blank seat base which I then modified and drilled the holes and inserted Rivnuts which I also glassed in (in retrospect I should have used Sicoflex. I then sent the modified seat pan and the first new seat back, they then had it upholstered and sent it back to me for just the postage. It fits just fine and looks great I am as pleased as punch, I have added a couple of photos.
