retro
Hello, I need to have a swing arm bolt made. Can someone tell me the grade of bolt that I should use? Thanks Much! Retro
b40rt
Anyone with the equipment and knowledge to make it will know what to use.
suzuki250
Mild steel should be fine (EN1), but you would probably be better with EN8 as the thread would be stronger It very much depends on the application & spindle diameter. paulc76
EN8 is the way to go for a trials bike EN24 if you want to go belt and braces
htrdoug
I measured my Fantic 309 aluminum swing arm bolt that I had to cut out and found a almost perfect bolt on Fastenal's site, just had to trim some threads off, works so good I've almost forgot I did it.May not be uber light aluminum but it fits and was available THE VERY NEXT DAY!
