Impulse Buy.....poss Not My Best Decision.....

Hello there,

So I'm Pete and after road riding for the last 8 years and following the recent loss of a friend I decided that my family needed me more than I needed a bike so my beloved vtr1000 was sold and I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket....enter the dreaded facebook....I saw an add on a page for a beta trials bike, thought it seemed like a good deal and now it's in my garage.

The little beastly in question is a 2001 rev 3 250cc and that's as much as I know about it....other than the fact that it's obviously had a few inconsiderate owners (never make an impulse buy in a rush) and needs some tlc.....hopefully that's where I step in however, my last stroker was an nsr125 some 15 yrs ago and where I appreciate the basics I'm far from knowledgeable so hopefully that's where this gem of a forum and it's members will be able to help.

Now I must go to the beta specific forum and write a post entitled "help, I just bought a basket case" so if you'll excuse me good people, thanks in advance for your patience and I look forward to baffling you with my innability.

cheers

Pete

Welcome to TC. Don't be disheartened you will find out everything on here. I am a Gasgas owner so cant help you much with Beta specific issues.

You need to find a local club and ride with people, You don't say where you're located so have a look on the ACU website for the club finder and see which is closest to you.

Trials is good fun I'm sure you will agree.

Rick.
