bordermike
Which bike is best .beta evo 250/300 or gas gas txt 250/300 .? Cheers , mike
nickc1969
I rode a gasgas for many years then decided to try a beta. Regretted it instantly. Very difficult to ride a Beta especially for grip. I went immediately back to gasgas and am very happy. Each to their own. You have to ride a bike properly before you decide. Plus parts are a lot more expensive for a Beta! Edited August 15, 2013 by nickc1969
neilh
are you trying to start a riot or something?
t-shock 250
Just to add I have had the exact opposite experience to nickc1969. My beta is amazing at grip finding! The point being there is no "best" bike (silly question really) each bike has its own traits which suit different people. Buy the one you like the best. canada280i
I'll jump in here and say buy an ossa 300 factory r.......and sit back and wait for the fallout from dabster!......just for ****s and giggles.....
lineaway
Nick1969 is right, a gas gas rider usually will not like the Beta. The gas gas does many things well, but grip has always been better on the Beta!
rjklein4470
I just came from a beta 290 evo, to a raga 300 gas gas, and the gas gas is just more fun to ride, the rest you get use to.

breagh
IMO makes no difference between starts and end cards. Why anyone up here would need a 300 is debatable as all we do is piddle around in burns and tight stuff.. No many old gassers at out trials, lot more Betas??? dmc2028372
I've got a gg 300. Very simple.. Best bike I've ever ridden, worst bike I've ever owned. The bike rides great, though I do agree with an earlier post, unless your British championship grade or 17 stone a 250 is probably the best bet, I'm guilty of that too. However, build quality is very poor, be very pushed to buy another. Probably spoilt on that front, as my last bike was a mont

sawtooth
Personal preference if you ask me, you'll just have to ride both, I went from a Beta to a GasGas and haven't looked back, i'll defo be buying a GasGas again next. I've ridden older (2004) Sherco's too and didn't like that at all.
