What Is Good Trial Picture?

Hello Flywheel

You have good kit and are trying to frame your shots. The angle of your shots are often hampered by where the light / sun is in the best place so use fill in flash as has been mentioned is a great trick. Take sacrifisial shots of first riders through the section and don't take all your shots on the same settings. back in the day 2 rolls of 36 was all I could afford but today you can fire off a couple of hundred. I would be happy with only a hand full of great shots out of that. Although the cameras are slr's it all happens real quick so I would recommend using (THE FORCE) lol it comes down to luck and sticking at it. Cheers tbone.

i think i mentioned it on another thread, but with basic photoshop skills you can fake the blurred background.

i take snapshots from videos so that i can give riders an image to print out if they want. the background can be blurred easily in photoshop to make sure the focus is on the rider. it's pretty obvious when you look for it but i only spend about 30 secs on these.
