hyfan
Hi im new to the forum.I have an early Gass Gas Gt320 1991 and im trying to disassemble the top end of my upside down paloma front forks(in order to remove slidind leg to fit new oil seals) .Does anyone know how to remove the aluminium top cap (shown in attached picture) to part it from the internal damper rod.I have removed the small brass adjusting knob shown in second photo but dont know what to undo next. There appears to be a steel tube which goes up into the fork head cap.I have unscrewed the cap from the leg and there is like an aluminium tube with a coned lower wnd which can be seen over the damper rod. So i just need to find out how the aluminium cap discinnects fom the damper rod.Once i get the cap off Iassume ill be able to pull the slider out the bottom of the fork leg to gain access to the seal ?.Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks Hyfan
lineaway
www.trialspartsusa.com/tech.html has a suspension break down. Looks like you just remove bottom leg bolt, then cap and rod assembly just pulls out. Edited September 17, 2013 by lineaway
