kinglevel
Hi I have been looking for a thread about training without the bike, but i could only find one simple balance training. Is there anything else someone like to share? I am waiting for spare parts..

copemech
Jump up and down a lot! Seriously! Stand flat footed and jump up onto a large rock or log ! See just how high you can go, and work on it. Really helps !
smalley250
Put your hands out about handle bar width, stand at the bottom of your stairs then twist right hand and run up stairs. mr neutron
You can also make intermittent Vroom noises, or the sound you make when you blow air out of your mouth with your tongue stuck out, to simulate a loaded up motor, or starting, & etc....... Seriously, maybe this??? Jimmie
tltel
That standing on a ball looks more dangerous than riding the bike!! TLTEL
mr neutron
I have one of these exercise balls here at home. I'm fairly content to just sit on it, and shovel food down my gullet..... I do like to practice balancing & hopping out in my barn on the bike, w/o it running. I also have a board that is about 8" wide, and 18" long. I rest this board on a piece of pipe about 3" in diameter, and then try to balance on it. It's way harder than you'd think..... 0007
Bicycles are great, find a trials pedal bike and put 10 minutes a day on it, they are really good for balance practice

sherconoob
Make VROOOOM noises too i already do that around the office when i think no one is looking, hanging out the back end when powering out of the corner around the photocopier. zippy
i already do that around the office when i think no one is looking, hanging out the back end when powering out of the corner around the photocopier. photocopier corner is a dangerous one, but OH so exilerating, you need to be careful of the rambling pack of "Office Women" that may appear at any time and step into your way without looking. rob214
for me, find something you enjoy doing as a secondary hobby that involves being physical. if you enjoy it you will do it. if it is physical than it will help with trials. anything is better than sitting at home watching tv and doing nothing. most folks after the age of 30 have families, jobs and other responsibilities that take them away from mid week hobbies and gym training. for me if i can't jump up and down for long during the week then you will probably not be able to hop around from rock to rock like toni boy on the weekend…... rob
