davetom
Hi all, a friend has these on a Bantam but what are they exactly? He needs some parts and wants to be sure Thanks in advance, Dave
b40rt
Do they have tapered tops ? Very similar to standard B40.

rodt
I know its a bit late but those forks might well be from a C11G. is the thread left hand? I had C11 forks in a D1 40 years ago. When bantams were worth about £15

flowerpotracing
Wow. When i saw those stickers on the sliders I thought they looked like ones I put on a bike years ago. Then I saw the orange yokes that my dad sprayed with paint that we bought frame ray fishers...... What bike were they in? We had them in my first ever pre 65 bike. davetom
It's a Bantam being built by Ben Perrin down Bristol way.
flowerpotracing
It's a Bantam being built by Ben Perrin down Bristol way. I think you mean Ben Penny. I was so in love with that bike (if it is the same one). My Dad and I built it together as our first Pre 65 bike. We hada lot of fun and I made lots of it at school in my CDT lessons. Sadly it was awful. It was a make do and mend bike on a budget. We got it running and rode it in trials as I started to drift away from school boy trial towards Pre 65 fun. It was before electronic ignition, trick carbs etc etc . It made no power and after 5 mins of running it got too hot and needed to rest. Sadly it put me right off 2 strokes. We soon moved on to a C15. That was great fun. A much better bike that I rode for many years. Ahhhh happy days! Would like to know if it is the same Bantam D7 and where it is now. It has a chrome frame and the Bantam tank was orange to match the yokes
davetom
Definitely Perrin, it's his first pre 65 trials bike
flowerpotracing
I am Ben Penny and I am in Bristol. Strange that the bike is near me and the name is very similar. I hope the first thing he does is fit electronic ignition! I hope he has lots of fun with the bike.
