bestrcpilot
A search of the Yamaha form should give you the answer you're looking for. There are a couple of threads about the air box

mattylad
I bash out the bottom of the standard mounting which blocks the access to the rubber boot. Use a mont 315 air filter mounted upside down and held in place by a 2mm alloy plate cut and bent to fit around the filter

nelly1
i bashed out the restrictive bit in the bottom cut off the raised bit in the lid then used a montesa 348 filter which covers the airbox with about an inch overlap refitted the lid the screws just pass through the filter but i cant tell you how well it performs off work at the moment bad back
