drake
Hi I'm looking to upgrade the forks on my BSA. I'm looking at Cerianis or Betor forks. Unfortunately all the ones i'm seeing are too long. Is it possible to shorten them and if so how do you do this?
lestergg2005
Instead of going to all this trouble can you drop them down a touch through your yolks ?.
drake
The ones i'm seeing are about 2" too long. so i don't think that sticking them out the top looks good
stanmet
hi drake its a fairly easy to shorten them but do it from the bottom so you dont have to rethread the tops cut the 2inches off with disk cutter because chrome is very hard then counter bore for the alloy tube then circlip groove follow what was in the the bit u cut off i never shortened the dampers just the springs worked ok for me best of luck stan
