Carb Vs Injection

Glazing of the bore is a real problem

Thats why I was told to run a bike in with mineral or semi synthetic oil then use a better oil - ie semi or fully synthetic. Running in a bike on fully synthetic oil is likely to lead to a glazed bore - thats the info I was given.

As for the re-mapping bit wonder if a Dynojet power Commander (that the loud pipe brigade use on their FI road bikes) will soon be available for the Honda - tongue in cheek comment I'm afraid.

That link you gave there RS was an interesting read.. It looks like that PGM-FI system is completely self contained and could be ported to another machine. I'll have to find out what it costs..

Roughly speaking a 10 degree C rise in a Si devices junction temperature is a halfing of its life (whatever that may be), which is the bad news. The good news is in 5 years of doing that sort of testing I never actually got a failure at device level .... (I have a real job now) so in terms of worring about heat, I wouldn't, failures are usually caused by material migration, corrosion or vibration.

Well anyway, thats my 10 pence worth ....

Maybe the Honds oil pump might fit too?

Now that is funny - and no, I have nothing against nor dislike the 4T before all you owners jump on me, I just like a bit of dry humour....
