markjsq1
Which side of the Reedblock is the best place for it and what improvements does make ? :-)
bestrcpilot
I run mine between the reed block and the rubber carb mount. It seem to help the bottem end a little. But I made mine so the it fits the hole in the rubber and then tapers to the sq hole in the reed block. I also run the rubber intake from a RD350 which centers the carby. Hope this is what you wanted.
tobster
hi, I've only just seen this thread, but what thickness of spacer do you use? Also, how do you seal off the crossover pipe hole in the RD350 reed block?? Do these changes require jetting changes?
bestrcpilot
The spacer block I use is 3/8 inch. The rubber carb mount did not have a hole for the cross over pipe just the boss.
tobster
3/8"!! Yikes that's nearly 1cm. Re the reedblock, I was thinking of using one from a later RD350, of the YPVS variety that have a cross over tube. Presumably an earlier version, say air cool RD350 did not have one??? Did you need to rejet?
bestrcpilot
For the rubber carb mount you need the earlier one from the air cooled rd350. Re spacer block is 9.5 mm I had no need to re jet the carb. Hope this help you

tobster
RD350 carb block acquired. Reed spacers found (from my RD350F2). Looks like I will have to cut off the ears on the carb block.
