Hi, take the petrol tank off and use a flatblade screwdriver to push on the ribs of the filler cap to unscrew it, to fill up, i used a small funnel with a piecwe of rubber hose/tube on the end of it.

hope this will help!

great help thanks, i thought at first, how daft having it their but i suppose with trials bikes you have cram things in where ever they will fit even if it isn't practical. i have got plenty of the 60ml syringes and some tubing that will fit on the end so i could use one of them, thanks for the help, i think that is the last thing i need to know on the service side of things.

I do as Sherco 34 does, and to check the level I have a piece small hose with a mark scratched on it that I stop at the filler neck and when withdrawn the fluid level shows somewhere under that mark showing how low the fluid is.

Far easier to remove the front tank mounting bolt & fold the cdi etc out of the way, I've used both methods & prefer this 1 as theres no messing about trying to get the cap out of the way to see the level or struggling to get it sitting flat before screwing it back down
