chris west
Hey all . Got a gas gas txt pro 280 2002 . Owned it for two months and ran it on normal super unleaded with a 60:1 ratio of some pretty cheat carlube 2 stroke ... Ran good first time kicker just a little smokey . But I put that down to 60:1 of cruddy 2 stroke. So when I finished my 5 litres I switched to high octane unleaded with the best castrol 2 stroke money can buy . Had a trial ran good , then next time came to use it it wouldn't start . Spark good but plug mega wet. Any way flushed tank and switched back to super unleaded mixed with the castrol 2 stroke and it kicked first time .... Does carb need adjusting for high octane fuel .. I might also mention I installed dual stage boyesen reeds when I switched fuels . Thanks in advance
nelly1
i would start by using the super with the castrol at 70 - 80:1 clean out the carb and start fresh

lineaway
You flooded the cylinder, had nothing to do with the mix.
obsever no 1 uk
Hi, I find 70.1 is a happy medium to run at .50.1 is far too much oil although gas gas recommend this for some reason Stay safe!
