spike2450
Just getting down to some maintenance, and i've noticed that the rear wheel isn't central between the swing/arm, are the snail cams accurate?i've also noticed that the tyre has been hitting the rear pipe! Also is there an idiots guide to setting chain tension? - with trials and not MX we seem to be spoilt with having a chain tensioner!
bigfoot
If you were to change the position of the wheel in the swinging arm you would also move the position of the disc in the caliper which wouldn't be a good idea. If the wheel is rubbing the tail pipe then just pull the tail pipe away slightly bending the mounting. This is a common problem and easily fixed. Adjust the chain so that you have a thumbs width between the top of the tensioner rubber and the swinging arm but make sure the tension is off the lower half of the chain before doing it. gasgas
The snail cams can be accurate but don't count on it. Check it first with a measure thingie Take axle of swingarm till axle of wheel, both sides wld be wise.
kehin
Check to see if you've bashed a snail cam & moved it round a notch.
