JB Weld is a high strength epoxy - you can apply it yourself. It is very good for all sort of alloy repairs. The industrial size is economical.

ESAB do an aluminium solder / braze which can be used on thin metals that can't be welded. I have not used it myself yet but have seen good results on water pumps.

Radiator shop might be the guy to see, I think where your problem is, they might be able to braze or weld, if there is no reason or forces causing the crack to re occur? Welding with tig is probably stronger, I have a buddy that can weld Coors beer cans together, consistently... good welder like that, is what you need probably.

No dadof2, i'm not a TIG welder but I watched a bloke weld mine no bother at all !

Just thought I would pass on the info to try and help a fellow trialist.

Only trying to be helpful.

Thought that was point of this site.
