laird387
Hi, At the 1999 Perce Simon, Southampton clubman Tony Brown, had his first ride for 35 years, in the Pre-65 category. He utilised his ex-Graham Stride Triumph Tiger Cub which Graham bought new in 1962 and Tony has owned since 1968. In contrast I have included this photograph of Tony competing in a Novice Trial on his 197 James at Hardley Pit, Nr Fawley in 1958 – so some 41 years separate the two photographs! Enjoy. laird387
Hi, Cecil Bailey, a very good friend of ORR, was on hand to record Murray Brush's spirited attack on a steep climb over exposed tree roots - his theory being you can't slide sideways on an awkward tree root if you are two feet above it! Note the neat fibreglass seat/mudguard unit. Enjoy.
jc2
Wonderful shot! Don't often see trials action like that.
bashplate
His tongue is at the right angle...so the tree root had no chance....
laird387
Hi, In the 1958 Bemrose, Molly Briggs spotted with her Tiger Cub, riding very warily - those polished limestone outcrops give hardly any grip when they are wet. Enjoy.

laird387
Hi, His works Tiger Cub getting ever closer to the specification that would eventually be marketed by Comerfords when he joined them, Gordon Farley seen here in the 1965 John Douglas trial at White Rocks, with alloy silencer and fuel tank in addition to all his earlier lightened bits. Enjoy.

laird387
Hi, When you're as good a rider as Dave Thorpe, you can still cope, even with a 'stowaway' on board........... Enjoy.
montymorris
Hi there, nice little bike. Looks to me like someone put a cub engine in a James frame. Regards Monty
montymorris
Apologies for my post, as you can tell, I'm new to the forum. I was referring to the first photo posted by Laird and I also agree with many of his subsequent comments. My dad seemed to spend all his time modifying his bikes in every way possible.
