bigfoot
Well London have done it and won the Olympics. How about lobbying the London committee for a trial to be added to the competitions. If I understand the Olympics the organisering country can apply to have new sports added. With the UK being the home of trials and having a multiple world champion in it midst surely it would be concidered. This post ties in with the various other post looking for recognision of Mr Lampin at things like the BBC sport personality. If a UK rider were to win an Olympic medal (Doug may to out of the running by 2012) surely the sport would get the recognision it deserves. Does anyone have any contacts on the London bid committee? Andy
My understanding is that the World Games, which will be held this year in Germany at which Trials will be represented and as reported previously is for sports that are not currently included in the Olympics, but are potentials for being included. The problem with any form of motorsport is that the general perception is it involves sitting on a saddle or a seat and running round an asphalt circuit. The World Games (which are overseen by the Olympic Committee) may change that perception. On another note, got an email from a mate today saying simply "Up Yours Chirac"
toofasttim
I would rather not have our wonderful sport sullied by the olympics.

stuartc
Motorcycle trials may well be included by 2012, things have been muted already for 2012.
tordijarres
..I know we should all be rejoicing together at a time like this rather than revisiting the North/South trials divide, but when I last looked, Samson, Brown and Dabill were all northerners.... coxy
what about the up and coming riders for example youth b riders in particular as they will be 24/25 at that time and hopefully will have a very good chance of winning the olympics if trials is ever in there
