oz thumper
Does any one know if the digital ignition has a built in rev limiter? Whilst the auto shutdown feature is useful when the bike is on its side, six seconds jammed flat out is a long time! I recently parked mine upside down at the top of a section whilst I took a trip down to the creek at the bottom that took a lot longer than 6 seconds and it didn't try to shut down at all. ( But does if laid on its side).
4rtbulldog
The bank angle sensor allocated next to the rear brake fluid reservoir, my baby stalls in about 3 seconds when I have side crash in either way, I reduce the rpm at about 950. Good to put one to my cota 315R '04.
oz thumper
Thanks Bulldog, understand bank angle sensor but still interested to find out if there is a revlimiter built into ignition to prevent engine damage.
grouse
Just hold it flat out and see if the limiter cuts in. I would doubt if it does.
