Hi,

Mary and I were very often both busy with our identical cameras on different sections or even different angles of the same section, so it is often difficult to know which one of us took any individual photograph.

Often there are clues.

Riders very rarely gave me such a cheeky grin as this Norton 500T exponent.............

Enjoy.

Hi,

A spectator at the 1989 Scott Trial was riding this very tidy Norton 500T, seemingly enjoying a quiet 'chuff' around Swaledale with some sport thrown in for good measure.

If you have one of these models quietly gathering dust in a shed or wherever, think on this. A Norton 500T, in much scruffier condition than this example, fitted, for example with a road front hub, not the expected 'scalloped' trials unit seen here and patches of rust on the frame, was sold in an auction in the Ilkley area within the last few weeks, and with the auction fees, VAT and the hammer price made - wait for it - close to ten and a half thousand pounds...........

There were several keen bidders and it wasn't a speciality auction - just the normal regular local general sales auction.

Enjoy - and ponder.
