blackpoolsherco
Can anybody tell me why I have the adjustable back wheel on my bike but other 2011's don't have it?
steve_earle
Oh no you don't have the adjustable back wheel do you? Only kidding mate, They all are, How else doy you tension the chain? Unless you refering to some other type of adjustment that I can't picture in my head at the moment. Remember theres no silly questions just silly answers or people who don't answer because they think it's a silly question!!!
jonboy883
Is it possible your referring to the spoke adjusters on your rear wheel. Are you talking about the small nut half way along each rear spoke to maintain the correct tension on each spoke to ensure the rear wheel runs true. If you are, then sweat not, as these are normal.......
blackpoolsherco
yes I mean the spoke adjusters, not all bikes have them on because iv looked at loads of bikes and not seen many on between 2010 & 2012? I just presumed it was an extra when the bike was bought new maybe?
totty79
There are several types of rim, on most the adjuster is where the spoke meets the rim, on others like yours they are part way along the spoke. Your version does not rely on a tape inside the rim for sealing as the spokes do not go through it.
tltel
You have the better version as there is less chance of an air leak. TLTEL
sirhc
The first batch of 2011's had the older standard rear wheel spoke design with the rubber rim strip. Later production 2011's had the style like yours.
