stpauls
Hello All rapidly approaching retirement and now finding my old Beta Techno 250 a bit too heavy. I have been thinking about getting lighter, easier to handle 125, probably about 2010 - 2012, around £2500 ish. Any opinions on Beta, Gas Gas or Sherco 125s as being the better bike? Thanks Tony
lineaway
Actually a Beta 200 might be worth a look. Any 125 requires quite a bit of clutch work. And any new bike feels half the weight of the old techno.
peterh
I have had both a 2009/2010 Beta Evo 125 and 2012 Beta Evo 200 - put Boyesen Reeds in both which gave both improvements in bottom end and responsiveness. Both more than capable - I agree, go the Beta Evo 200 - ideally the 2012+ model, as has the Keihin Carb
nigel dabster
Any 125 will need more clutch and rev technique than a 200/250 with no real difference in weight between them, all modern bikes will feel light compared to a techno.
